Weather turned out much better this afternoon than originally forecast which called for clouds and rain. Still pretty windy so hit my localprotected kettle pond late this afternoon for some bluegill action with the Eponite. Love that rod. Should have brought some dry flies as there was a major hatch going off and that rod could even put the muddler on the surface delicately!

I had hoped to have some more photos of casting the rod and maybe a bass or two but my partner bailed out early before I could impose and the bass I think had love on the mind

Cameron if you look at the radar of the Eastern US currently there is a huge classic coma shaped storm in the center of the Eastern US and it's counter clockwise rotation is drawing cool 49 degree ocean air into the whole region. It was bluebird skies yesterday and today but brisk cool winds!!! http://www.goes.noaa.gov/ECIR4.html |
