Since Ron posted pics, I'll follow his lead and post my pics from the same outing.

I fished with a recently acquired TFO Finesse 6'9" glass rod. I used a Loomis Venture 5 reel lined with a 6wt Rio floating line and a MZ34 reel lined with a Teeny BS-100 line.

Floyd Burkett, Universal City, TX - in the post below, I said it was based on a PHY taper, but it's really a Cattanach derivation of PHY
Floyd was fishing with us yesterday.

Mark, it's amazing how strong these little bass are - the St. George was screaming. The last bass in my photos made a blazing run out to the end of the fly line, and was really tough to turn back upstream.
Guadalupe bass really are Texas brook trout - they have amazing speed and stamina.

this is how to beat the 100-degree south Texas heat
this one is about two miles long with just a few sunny breaks

and in our drought, the fish are really stacked up in any pockets
Ken is standing on a waist-deep hole (sorry I got the spider webs in front of his face) where we could see the fish and could certainly see them lunge for our flies
