place. It's especially fun in the dark before sun up time, throwing big topwaters. The fish are extremely shallow, on the prowl in riffles above large
pools.

Right before sun up, they start to mave back to deeper water, for safety.

After sun up, you have to wade out to deeper water, and usually I have only been catching...

Don't get me wrong. catching a hundred fish anytime is awesome!! except when they are dinks!!! well, today we found the bigguns!! david and i took out the
yaks, and advantage of the air boat striper guides. it sure was nice of them to draw all of those big fish in, by throwing out huge gizzard shad!! then we
sneak in, throw big gray and white flies, and hold on!!! Lost count of how many fish over 2 pounds we caught. my thumb is shredded, my arms are sore,...

Great report! I was fishing off a freinds boat Saturday and caught a striper that went roughly about 38 inches probably 18 to 20 pounds that took a squid fly.
Fought it quite a while on my nine weight and had it boatside and while my friend was going for the lip the fish rolled and spit the hook. DOH. Got it on video
at least though I am still waiting for my copy. Even small stripers have a powerful tails!
