There are 4 basic action listed for wonderods ( omni/kwik/action/standard) however there are a few others that I was hoping someone might clear up as to what
the action is 1)all-purpose, 2) all 'round 3)universal---how do these fit into the 4 basic actions?

Also, I have an fy-a322 8'6"---that is listed as B,GBH,6MH---is that equal to a 9 wt---the rod cast a 6wt nicely---what am I missing

I checked again and it is clearly fy-a322---perhaps the other 3 action are just other name for the action taper as the description for action taper would fit
them all. Any idea on the weight difference between the 320 and the 322 in the same length?

Well so far I have not been able to locate any additional information on the other actions. But in any case, I did confirm that the FY-A322 is listed as
Universal Action in both of the catalogs that it appears in. Why yours is marked Action Taper I can't explain. I will add that model FY-A320 is listed as
Action Taper. Could yours possibly be an FY-A320? Many times the markings on these rods are unclear and can be easily misread.

gaddis, thanks for the come back. I wiki the fy-a322 is listed as an universal action however on my rod it is stamped action taper---could the same rod be
stamped with two different action labels? Also, at one time I also owned a fy-a320 black rod in wiki this rod weighs 5.8 oz--the fy-a322 was 4.2 why the 1.6
oz difference on rods that are pretty close to being the same except for color?

I'll have to hunt down some descriptions of the other actions. If I can find them I'll add them to the Wiki.

To answer your second question, a number of Wonderods have a sturdy butt section with a pretty limber tip. With these rods you can cast a lighter light weight
using mostly the tip action of the rod. With a heavier line weight on the same rod you can cast by flexing the rod into the butt section. I don't know how
well this works in practice. With these rods I tend...
