I'll post some pictures tonight of my Lamiglas SFL905S (7'6"-#5) s-glass blank... If you need some measurements, to help ID the blanks, just
let me know. If you have the same blanks, they are rare and you got a deal.

I have to agree, if he's gotten himself a couple of S glass blanks and they are rated 5wt, thats pretty much the cream of the vintage crop. Too bad they
don't have their Lamiglas logo's that would add alot to their value, those are most likely a pair of the hardest to find blanks today. Do keep us in
the loop should you build them.

FFFG,
Thanks for the photos of the Lami blanks. I find them very reminiscent of "River Rat Rods" that I had in the the early 70's. Very translucent,
just as your photos show, but they had an extremely thin walled spigot. They were wonderful casting/fishing rods very accurate, with a full flexing progressive
action, mine fractured at the ferrule (the hollow spigot portion fractured), on the 7' 5wt I had. Those Lami blanks look like their spigot ferrules are
beefier. I...

The clear almost see through blanks Ive used were all S glass and so marked. Amoung some of the very early blanks there was the 75, which later became the 1761
and was rated at 4wt, these blanks have a fine weave to the glass, and could be had in semi transparent and painted versions, I have a similiar rod based on
the 8ft 1801 blank which is also a true 4wt, fantastic rods too. A bit later the opaque painted blanks came along, I have several of those, smooth and with the
Lami glass ferrules,...

Hello.
The best thing for safe tape residue removal rubbing alcohol .
As far as price goes the blanks sold for around 14 bucks when new 1975 ish.
That's $56.71 in 2009 using the inflation calculator.
You are not leaving much for the rarity of the blanks.
I would say Toms high end of $70.00 is more of a fair price.
If you had a couple of dozen I would be interested.

Those are Lami's nice blanks from the70's, do they have the "LTD" label on em?? I have several of those rods made from those blanks, the
spigots on mine are hollow, and they are nice, I do not recall if they are S-glass, I know Lami was pretty good about labeling "S-glass" rods as
such.
I'm with Tom, $50 bucks would be a fair deal for buyer and seller.

SD,

Do they have a model number? From your description, they may be S-glass blanks. I would figure $50-70 each if they are in good shape and not scratched up
(most blanks get scuffed with storage).
