The fly worked pretty well in spite of the fact that I didn't see any stoneflies hatching. It was a very windy day and the flow was high. I caught more than 10 brown trout and a couple small rainbows. At least half of them took the dry. The only problem was that the fly tended to tip over on it's side until the body absorbed a little bit of water. I just cranked out a few of these for an upcoming trip to northern NM. The stoneflies have started to hatch on the Cimarron, and it should be pretty good next week. Unfortunately, I only get to fish one day.
