"So, all in all. If the quality is the same or better. The tolerance's tighter. The reels less expensive,(but better) what's the difference if a
reel that was made in England, is now being made in Korea? It's still an Orvis (or Hardy)."

English got this fly fishing stuff going and I like to feel that Americans helped perfect it.

I grew up with the skies lit up at night from the steel mills in Pittsburgh and I still think a 66 GTO was the greatest car...

In the back of my mind, I honestly couldn't remember either. I worked for Orvis during the change . I even remember the notice we got telling us we were no
longer having BFR build our reels. I remember the first bronze, but I can't remember exactly when that was. What the heck, they are all made
overseas....LOL

I stand corrected. I guess Orvis' customer service needs to bone up on their own history.
We just looked at Joni's bronze CFO and it looks identical to your's except the Made in England is missing. My older grey CFO's are all click pawl
so they have a different back and the writing is smaller cursive type writing.

Thats what I thought and that is a sad day. The history is what made Orvis with their quality and tradition. What would it cost for the reels to be made in
England? Another 20 bucks a reel? I'd pay that for sure...............Sorry for the sad response fellers but I still can't accept whats happening to
