several glass rods and help him figure out which lines he liked best for his new FF765.  it was fun stringing up a bunch of rods of course, but man, was i ever
impressed with that gowdy!  i still haven&#39;t spooled my new 7wt mastery nymph taper, but i&#39;m not sure i even need to.  the 7wt air cell2 line i have

			<description><![CDATA[ I picked up a Curt Gowdy Signature PG-40 8&#39;6&quot; this month.  It came with the original tube and sock for $15.  Seems to throw a 7wt line very nicely
while lawn casting on a windy day.  I am hoping to test it on some bass next month during spring break.  Is this the same rod that everyone is talking about
but a longer length?  I thought it was as nice as my Fenwick FF 807 or equal in casting in the backyard. I will give my impression of both when I actually test

			<description><![CDATA[ CB, I&#39;m not very well qualified to do a rod review. Best I can say is that it is very responsive and accurate in close and seems to &quot;rise to the
challenge&quot; when longer casts are needed...almost like it has some reserve power when called upon. Flexes down into the grip where I can feel the blank
itself flexing in my hand. Haven&#39;t pushed it for distance, but 30-60+ feet is a comfortable range for me. Mine is the 2 piece. It&#39;s nicely built...the

The 8.5ft 2pc is a more powerful rod, but still about the lightest in its class. Doesn&#39;t flex into the handle quite like the 8fter does. I like that extra
bit of lenght. I spent the day fishing this rod ( by accident) with a 10wt sinking line, and had no problem.

THe 8.5 3pc is a tad heavier due to the extra ferrulle, and is also a tad slower. Mine has seen lots of time carp fishing among other things.

			<description><![CDATA[ as Cory mentioned, I don&#39;t consider the parametrics parbolic at all, nothing like a PHY parabolic. The 6&#39;3&quot; does have a parabolic feeling, but all
the others I&#39;ve ever cast were a nice progressive action. If I remember my facts correctly, the parametrics where the first rods designed using computers.
I personally like the 8ft 6/7 2pc and 8&#39;6&quot; 7wt 3pc. ]]></description>
