Well the bike antenna wasnt the trick, well at least not for me, for the butt section ferrule it wasn't nearly big enough. For the third section it
required alot of turning in a drill motor to get a good fit into the tip section. The Antenna is just not tapered enough. I ended up cutting up a brand new
salt water solid glass spinning blank to use for the Butt ferrule, also needed a few anyway for a couple other rods I had out to ferrule over the last couple

Well I decided to bid on a few and one was the 8 1/2ft with grip. Also I decided to give a work out to Perow's suggestion to go to Walmart and pickup a

just as good as a spigot material made for piece but alot cheaper. The mast has almost no taper, but seems to be perfect so I will follow up in the next few

flexing/working part of the blank. This changes the feel of the rod. It doesn't change the action, which is built into the blank (both cut and uncut blanks
will flex the same along the line), but you can say that it reduces the power, since the lever is shorter. You will feel the flex more with the short version,

I have a couple of the 9ft blanks, and taped a reel and some guides on one right when I got it ( a year ago?), seemed like an 8/9 rod to me, really would zing

up a few inches, basicly making the rod feel a tad bit shorter.

Now I need to find my roundtoit.
