catalogues in size 4 - 14.  It was very typical that anglers bought and fished with wet flies in size 6 &amp; 8 as a

tim,i just bayed 900 mustad 33600 hooks in size 10.they are ringed,or straight eyed and seem like the perfect hook for what you&#39;re talking about.

			<description><![CDATA[ I tye a ton of wet flies and can tell the differance between the 3906 and 3399 imedaitely. Even though they are both sproat bend hooks they have there
differances enough to distinguish the 3906 from the 3399. When I was just tying flies here and there I did&#39;nt notice this much and have to agree with you.
But since I tye almost every day and have been tying for quite some time, you just know a differance in the hooks. Some models longer, some flimsier, some
thicker, some have a more... ]]></description>

on rare occasions for a turned up eye i have splurged and used a salmon hook.thats not the best solution,but it looks nice.

     For fishing flies be it large like I fish or smaller I prefer the Mustad 3906 over the 3399. I have had to many hook failures with the 3399 series while
fishing. Point of hook breaking or after smashing the barb down on the hook the back end of the hook breaking off. Never had this problem with the 3906 series.
Now I do use 3399&#39;s but for all the flies I tye for people that want show flies. A nice size 6 and size 8 wet fly works nicely. I do plan on the horizon to... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Summer time here in high winds and near washout flows the big wets and streamers are the only thing that works, as is a nice 6 or 7wt rod, fish arent so small
either, some of the big ones are just looking for a nice big goody to grab.

			<description><![CDATA[ When it comes to fishing in general I never leave home without my 6 weighg &amp; my 5 weight. The only time I go to a 4 or 3 weight is when I am fishing those
small wild trout streams where I know the fish do not get much bigger than 7 inches. I have been surprised once in a blue moon with a 8 inch, but that&#39;s
about it. To me fishing my wet flies and at times streamers are very comfortable on the 6 weight. Also the 5 weight is good too but a little extra effort has

certainly a correlation.

I might also add that there is no reason to leave a good 7 or 8 wt at home simply because everybody else is fishing a four wt.   There are many good, venerable

			<description><![CDATA[ there is a stream near me,notorious for hard to catch wild browns.the norm is size 22 nymphs and nothing larger than a 16 for dries.my not so secret successful
flies are sized 6-12,leadwing coachmen,royal coachmen,pennels,soft hackles etc.i say not so secret because i willingly tell people what i use,but they
don&#39;t believe me.one actually told me you can&#39;t catch a brown trout on a royal coachmen,the red is for rainbows,ha!

			<description><![CDATA[ Here in Colorado, there are a lot of fishermen that consider anything bigger than a 14 a streamer!  Many fishermen here learned to flyfish in tailwaters,
drifting #20 and smaller nymphs below an indicator.  They catch a ton of big fish that way!  I still mentally struggle with the concept of  #8 wet flies
myself.  But, since I have the hooks and materials and soft action flexible  glass rods, I am going to give this &quot;larger&quot; wet fly deal a try this
year.
