Bought one today for $15. It needs one guide replaced and tip top rewrap. Looks exactly like this rod but marked,panfish,pf.7 for hdh or d. Cant wait to repair and fish. Mike

Both of the ones on Ricks rods are 6'6". Mine are 7', & 7'6". I wonder how may lengths they made.

If anybody comes across one of these rods for sale please tell me. I did not know that they existed. I build quad bamboo rods and would love to see how one of the fiberglass ones cast.

To give you a idea how limber this rod is. The base is 0.33" in diameter, and the tip is 0.07". At the mid point it is 0.20" very light. The grip and reel seat are actualy mounted on a aluminum tube and the rod epoxied into that.
It cast differant tnan any other W&M that I have.
Cofisher. I hope that you find yours, I did buy that one we were looking at. Used my 15% discount card to bring it in line. I have not received it yet.

Germanbrown, I'm so curious that I'm watching for a really nice one to buy. Here is part of an email I received from Eagleman43 in response to our question.

"I had not cast mine yet, but thought that for you I would. It is 30 degrees out, snowing and the only spool that I still have line on is a level 6 wt. so I put it on. The rod is very limber, full flexing, and handled that line very well. I can't wait to fish with it." -Eagleman43

How do these cast? I've always been intrigued by these W&M quad glass rods. I really like the other W&M glass rods I've cast.

Andy did a complete pictorial/tutorial of his refurbishment of a little rod like this that started me on the "slippery slope" of rod re-working. Its a great tutorial if you can find it-p-

Here is the quad rod that I bought yesterday.

The name is engraved into it. I did not look at the name just knew that I wanted a quad rod.

The grip looks like someone varnished it.
