Here's my 2 cents,
First impression is a Fisher blank. On the other hand, if the ferrule(spigot) is hollow, and the blank is or has an amber cast to it when held in the light, it
could be a River Rat Rod. Designed by Vince Cummings and made for the Fly Fishers Bookcase(not sure if I'm correct with this seller, my memory). In any
case it should build a magnificent rod, congratulations. Respectfully rvreclus

Lamiglas made a line of blanks with brown, hollow spigots, "LTD" and I am pretty sure Tom is right (isn't he always) Clemens blanks were made by
Lami. I have had several of the brown Lami blanks ( my dad made a ton of rods on those blanks), and several looked unsanded, and at least one that I can recall
the blank was sanded smooth. But, as CB pointed out, this is all an educated guessing game, a fun one at that!

I also lean toward Fisher, or a reseller of Fisher made blanks. The other possibility is Lamiglas, as I have a couple of their rods with spigots. However,
the brown Lamis don't have as smooth a finish as littlejuniata's blank.

NevadaK, I've never seen a Fenwick with a spigot ferrule. It doesn't mean they don't exist, just that I don't recall ever seeing one. Also, I
thought the Clemens blanks were made by Lamiglas. But on looking at the old catalog, they...

I'm no expert, but I have a Clemens blank with a similar ferrule. From what I've read, these were made by Fenwick. I've seen other references to
Fenwick blanks with hollow spigots. The color looks like Fenwick so, perhaps that's what it is.

That's another possibility, Les. They had those longer male ferrules like this one seems to have. The coarser grain of fiberglass showed on those ferrules
though more than this one does. Hard to say. I would say that when the blank is built up, you'd have a better idea. Parametrics have fairly distinctive
actions to them.

LJ, please understand that no one is going to be able to label that blank for you unless they had one just like it to set it next to. But with the ferrule
being hollow to the end like that, I doubt it was a Fisher. I'd lean more towards a late Scotchply blank, maybe, Phillipson. It could also be something
from much more recent production of the myriad of blank manufacturers that may be nothing special. Build it, fish it, if you like it, keep it. If you sell it,
you certainly can't...
