			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve been reluctant to post this on top of Tiptop&#39;s beautiful Gypsy build but things seem to have died down so here it is.  Anyway, I picked up this
mint 8&#39; Ted Williams in a Newport, RI antique shop last week.  The rod case had an old Sears price sticker of $20.95 stuck on it that the clerk
unfortunately pulled off before I could stop her.  I had it out in the yard and it casts a DT6 and WF7 very nicely and even today seems a capable fly rod.  To
me it looks like a pimped late... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I received this beauty a few days ago from Gypsy Rod Works and just thought I&#39;d post a few pics.  It&#39;s wrapped with chinese red tipped black with
Mark&#39;s normal flawless work.  The reel seat is Pau Ferro, a south american hardwood that matches the color of the blank nicely.  I asked Mark M. to do a
custom reel seat/grip for me that is similar to the shape of the all cork FE Thomas bamboo rod grips.  The cork transitions into the wood of the seat smoothly
with no check or change in... ]]></description>

Jim Murphy at Hardy Greys.  During our conversations he said that he&#39;d like to send down one of the Hardy glass rods for me to demo.  A week or so later a
slender box showed up in the mail and inside was one of the Hardy Glass &quot;The Test&quot; four weights.

marked &quot;456&quot; on the tag.  I tried a 5DT and a 6WF on it this past Sunday afternoon.  I need to try out a 4DT as well to see how it changes the
rod&#39;s feel.

			<title><![CDATA[ TADPOLE-7'3"-3/4 WGHT 2 PIECE ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Here&#39;s some pics of a tadpole I just completed for a friend on this site. Its built on a SPG780 blank with 9 inches added to the butt section, then cut
and a spigot added.  The spigot is hollow fiberglass with a piece of solid fiberglass added to the inside.  Reelseat is a cheap all aluminum Pacbay spinning
seat from Netcraft.  pacbay one foot line guides, cheap piece of cork that was sanded , treated with miniwax golden pecan stain and sealed with true-oil.

			<description><![CDATA[ A 8&#39; 4 wt rod I finished up.   Nice blank that I think, like a lot of others, goes well with a 5wt line.   Black color takes a bit of getting use to.   The
details:   REC aluminum reel seat hardware with buckeye burl insert.  White/translucent  Snake Brand Agate stripping guide, Perfection brand snakes and tip
top.   Guides wrapped with YLI 50wt gray tipped ncp white.   Used 50 wt thread instead of the thinner 100wt thread because I wanted to use GudeBrod NCP white
for tipping.

impressed.  This one is the same model.  Everything about the rod is minimalistic and refined - truly a work of art.

			<description><![CDATA[ I have wanted this rod ever since I saw Gearboy&#39;s 6&#39;6&quot; Performance S Glass three-piece for a #3/4 line.  One came up on the Classic Forum last
week and I was lucky enough to be the first to respond.  It&#39;s identical to Jay&#39;s with the exception of the reel seat, mine having a zebra wood insert
instead of maple.  Sadly I never got around to ordering one from Dave when that was possible.

I picked Maroon with gold tipping and I am glad I picked those... it turn out to be okay...

			<description><![CDATA[ <strong>This is my first topic on this forum, great to be here!</strong> This combo is a killer. Scott F703, early 90&#39;s, mint condition, burgundy blank,
black slide ring and butt cap, red wrappings. The reel is a danish ATH F1, black with beautiful red handwriting, perfectly matching the red text on the blank.
Unfortunately I don&#39;t have the tube for this rod, but what the heck, you can&#39;t win them all!

			<title><![CDATA[ S.A. System 10 - Old Yankee Rodsmith Rebuild ]]></title>
