It is very simply engineered--it has a fixed spring drag and check spring. The reel seems just the right size for a size 6 line and some backing. The reel
nicely balances fiberglass rods in the 6-weight class. The construction of the reel shows a family resemblance to BFR reels. What do folks here know about

<br>
I just recently purchased a new Diamondglass 6&#39; 5wt. I trying to find a reel that will hold a DT5 and still balance such a light rod (2 oz). I like the
look of classic reels. I&#39;m considering a Medalist 1492, but at 4.2 oz without the line and backing, I&#39;m worried it might be too heavy. I&#39;m also
considering a Caps #1 from Tom over at Tj&#39;s, but I don&#39;t know if it can hold a DT5. Any opinions or other suggestions?

Thanks,
