			<description><![CDATA[ Always good to have one. Last Thursday, struck out at the Denison Dam, going after stripers. I really had the itch, so I went to the local favorite creek, Les
you know where, and spent some time trying out my new Fenwick 79. To my pleasant surprise, found some small crappies that have either migrated into the creek,
or somehow made it into the creek system. Anyway, I was pleased that they were there, and would put a nice bend into the rod.

			<description><![CDATA[ Most of my fishing is warm water, and warm-water fish are remarkably resilient. I&#39;ve caught perch that have been inhaled by LARGE bass during the fight
that the bass gave up on. The perch survived the ordeal. I can only imagine what was going through his tiny brain, and they were quite reluctant to be grateful
to me for saving them from being dinner. Trout (the only cold-water fish I&#39;ve caught) seem to be quite fragile (although, the huge stockers in the

			<description><![CDATA[ Had the great pleasure to spend the afternoon at a friends secluded smallie honey hole. A warm front blew thru last night in New England and we awoke to light
rain and cloudy gray skies. But by midday the sky began to brighten and the wind to abate. From there on it just kept on getting nicer and nicer and we
ultimately had a stunning sunset which I truly enjoyed on the ride home after a fine day chasing smallies in a jewel of a kettle pond.

			<description><![CDATA[ Last weekend which went from Friday til Monday ended my season. My Old Buddy Joe came up from Georgia for some Landlocks and Brookies. Cold weather welcomed
him. We also had the added bonus of a good stiff bitter wind. Fridays fishing was slow. Joe is relatively new to big water dredging. He high sticks OK , but
mending over differing currents had him baffled. Saturday morning we had Snow, sleet and rain. Did I mention wind? No fish. That evening we had just pouring

			<description><![CDATA[ Reading on the &#39;net I get the distinct impression that wet fly fishing is in decline.  Streamer fishing is not popular--at least in the East.  And, few
will admit to nymphing much.

Part of the problem may be that chunking streamers and weighted nymphs may obligate you to use bigger rods, and most fly fishermen have gravitated to zero
ounce graphite wands.  Those tip-flexing, fast action rods aren&#39;t really built for wets/streamers/nymphs.

lovely wife/fishing partner arranged a trip to Estes Park to fish the Fall River.  The Fall river lies just outside of Rocky Mt. National Park and a few miles
