Has anyone ever seen or had a Heddon model 3503 7&#39; glass rod before? If so, any idea on the approximate year it was made and what line weight it might be?
I didn&#39;t see anything even close in the Wiki.

I haven&#39;t received the rod yet, but it supposedly has a Heddon foil sticker on it, but no line weight info. It looks like it has a nice reel seat and
ferrule. It is also reportedly white fiberglass, and not painted white, so might turn out to be a cool find.... ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ varnish won't harden ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;m redoing an old rod; put on a coat of spar varnish diluted with turpentine on the thread wraps; let that dry overnight and then came back with a second
coat undiluted.  It will not get hard; its been sitting for 2 days and its still tacky. the ace spar varnish is in a plastic bottle turned upside down; it was
showing no sign of deteriotation that I could see.   What is up? what do i do?  I appreciate any help-p- ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Does anyone have experience with the 9&#39; 5 wt. Classic fiberglass that South Fork Rods sells? I found the standard lamiglas 7&#39;6&quot; 4 wt. to be a
little soft for mending line when fishing a single wet fly (although it was fine for casting dries). It sounds like Dave Redington has tweaked the blanks some,
so I was curious how that affected the action. As soft as the 7&#39;6&quot; standard lamiglas rod seemed, it&#39;s hard for me to imagine in a 9&#39; version.

			<description><![CDATA[ I purchased today a fiberglass fly rod, 2 pc, 7ft 1-3/4&quot;, white glass with green and gold downlocking reel seat.  The reelseat is dark green and the
reelseat hoods and locking ring are gold.  The butt section is 42 1/4 inches and the tip section is 43 1/2 inches long.   I believe the rod is solid glass. 
The glass rod comes out of the cork grip square and at about 14 inchs from the grip, the glass transitions to round. The wraps are dark green and the eyes and
ferrule are nickle plated..... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Always good to have one. Last Thursday, struck out at the Denison Dam, going after stripers. I really had the itch, so I went to the local favorite creek, Les
you know where, and spent some time trying out my new Fenwick 79. To my pleasant surprise, found some small crappies that have either migrated into the creek,
or somehow made it into the creek system. Anyway, I was pleased that they were there, and would put a nice bend into the rod.

			<title><![CDATA[ Fixing a Veteran Wonderrod? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Hi all, I found this rod in a bunch of old spinning rods I picked-up for $10. It&#39;s decal is gone and there are two cracks that are visible out of the
handle for about 3 inches. They are about 120 degrees apart. There are also some deep scratches about the stripper guide wrap. The rod measures 8 feet and is
wrapped with one color, either burgundy or garnet nylon, I won&#39;t know for certain until I unwind it and look at the undersides of the thread. The decals
are gone.
